10 Minute Tidy Office Tip 91: Productivity Apps for Android

Let’s just begin by saying that the Android phones are meant to work with all things Google. In addition to the Google apps, here are 3 other apps that will help you increase your productivity between your smartphone and your office.

First and foremost, Olive Office Premium is a software suite for Android devices that enables you to view and edit Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files as well as viewing portable document files (pdf). How great is that? For free!

I have some clients who are reluctant to transition from their paper planners. Jorte is the app with the look and feel of a real paper personal organizer and it’s easy to use. The customized calendar can be displayed in weekly or monthly views. This is one feature I miss with the iPhone. I love being able to look at my calendar by the week.

And if you are using Outlook on your office computer, you may want to download the DejaOffice-Outlook, USB Sync app. It has almost all that you need for productivity in business or in the office: advanced contacts management, calendar features, tasks, and notes. It also has a feature for protecting private records with a password. Try it today and see if this will help you stay connected to your information while out and about on your phone.
