10 Minute Tidy Office Tip 81: How to Store Unusual Items

Before you get excited about purchasing organizing solutions, be sure to measure your space and determine what is going to be the most efficient use of that space for storing unusual items. Accurately measuring drawers, shelves, and cabinets will save you time and money so that you only purchase what will work in that designated area.

Once you have the precise measurements of your storage space and what you want to store there, you can now shop for organizing products. There are thousands of products available online that should serve the exact purpose you are looking for. Just looking up the type of item you are trying to store will bring up many websites offering organizing products. There are now a wide variety of ways to store blueprints, artwork, bulky crafts, and many other unusual items you may have in your office.

A nutritionist friend of mine needs to store empty food packages for her clients to show them what to look for when they go to the grocery store. I would recommend shelves if these items are going to be on display in her office, like what her clients would see in the store. Otherwise, she could use clear bins to store the empty packages that she needs only as a reference for certain clients.
